The past week, we have seen uncommon citizenship at work- Americans helping Americans out of disasters in Houston and in Florida and honoring Americans, living and dead, from 9/11/01. These destructive situations have shown the world what it means to be American. Individual citizens stand and pitch in when others fall. We run into danger, not from it, to save another’s life. We are fast to react up the steps in a burning building or grab our own boats and go into action before anyone else can. We are first. We are tough. We are resilient. We make a plan and execute the plan. We press on and do not give up. That is uncommon citizenship at work and we know how to get it done. God bless the USA
