It’s that time of year again—Daylight Saving Time. Here we go! Sigh.
Every spring, the debate reignites: Should we keep changing the clocks or stay on DST permanently? Supporters and opponents cite everything from natural daylight cycles to energy savings and geographic location.
Under federal law, states must follow the twice-yearly change or receive an exemption—like Hawaii, most of Arizona, and several U.S. territories. Indiana even spans two time zones!
The debate ultimately comes down to preference: Do we want more daylight after work or prioritize brighter mornings for school and safety?
So, what do you think? Keep changing the clocks? Stay on DST year-round? Personally, I just want to skip the week of feeling jet-lagged every spring and fall when we mess with the clocks. Yawn.
